We took this picture of Grand Teton Mountain and the Teton Range from a mountain on the east side of the National Elk Refuge. A beautiful rust colored fungus was growing on the rock in this picture.

Buffalo seem to stand in the road creating buffalo jams just because they can. They seem to like creating these buffalo jams. Some people love the jams while it aggravates others to no end.

We both liked this picture of a buffalo that was standing still while these birds fed on parasites. I do not know what the birds were feeding on but probably fleas or ticks. Whatever, they were feeding on the buffalo seemed to be appreciative.

Episcopal Chapel of the Transfiguration in Grand Teton National Park near Menors Ferry

Behind the altar in the chapel is a picture window that frames a spectacular view that substitutes for a stained glass composition.

While it is difficult to take a picture that does justice to the scene Joyce tried. That is Grand Teton Mountain and the Teton Range framed directly behind the altar.

With a view like this you do not need a stained glass window. Amen!

Construction materials, labor and funds for this chapel were provided by local ranchers back in 1925.

We saw more deer, this year, in Colter Bay Village than any other place in Grand Teton National Park.

This large herd of elk were visible in Willow Flats most days. These must be 1st year elk since I do not see any calves and no bulls with antlers. Elk with calves were back in the pine forest hidden from view.
