Teton National Park is a favorite launching site for rafting
on the Snake River through Grand Teton National Park. This view
is from the parking lot.

As you can see the Snake
River is flowing past at a rapid pace.

River is dangerous and demanding.

Fortunately the 19% grade is very short as in 1,500' I would guess.
It is really hard to capture the steepness of that 19% grade with a
camera. It almost looks flat, to me, in this picture but I can assure
you it isn't.
