Rock Creek Road Scenic Drive part-2 Buffalo, Wyoming

Wildlife was everywhere along Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

Alfalfa fields along Rock Creek Road were overrun with deer. The number of deer in each alfalfa field was ridiculous.

We stopped to watch this group of turkey literally occupying Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

I wish this picture would have turned out sharper. Sadly it did not. It was late evening, almost dark when we took this picture out the window of our Saturn while taking a scenic drive along Rock Creek Road a few miles northwest of Buffalo, Wyoming.

Turkey adults and poults in Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

We were able to capture three adult turkey and at least 13-good sized poults in this picture. There were more poults and adults but they were not all close enough together to make it into one picture.

Late afternoon sun shining on this stash of alfalfa hay along Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

This was a beautiful sight as we drove down Rock Creek Road in the late evening. The setting sun was shining on this storehouse of hay. Our picture does not do what we saw justice, and that is sad. :-(

Can you believe the number of deer in this alfalfa field along Rock Creek Road - Buffalo, Wyoming

Look closely in this alfalfa field. That is an incredible number of deer. What is even more incredible we saw this in field after field along Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming.

Sandhill Cranes in a field along Rock Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming

Several times today and yesterday while traveling along Rock Creek Road and on French Creek Road out of Buffalo, Wyoming we spotted groups of sand hill cranes like this group. Most were off in the distance, as these were. These were at least close enough to be able to identify them in a photograph.
