Sheridan, Wyoming Ranch Roads

We stopped in the parking lot to get a better look since this was an unusual sight to see out here. To explain, there isn't anything else here. This is it. We really should have stopped and gone in since this is an historic building. We later learned it is a multipurpose building. Wyarno Bar &Grill/Post office. We missed a real treat on this scenic drive!

Ranch Roads in Wyoming are gravel much like this one. The gravel roads we were on were good -- well maintained roads. Kudo's to whoever it is that does the maintenance.

We are so glad we took this scenic drive east of Sheridan, Wyoming. The roads were gravel but you don't need a four wheel drive because it is easy terrain. We drove it in our Saturn. Our philosophy, when we consider taking a gravel road is if it becomes to rough, or we don't feel safe, we can always turn around. We traveled down several, roads on this particular day. We call them ranch roads but they are county roads and they are well marked. Just head east out of Sheridan, Wyoming and enjoy the ride. We were Staying at Peter D's RV Park in Sheridan, Wyoming so it was just a nice day drive. We also went to the small towns of Story, Wyoming and Bighorn, Wyoming. We had lunch at the Bighorn Saloon Smokehouse and Saloon in Bighorn, Wyoming.

I don't think we even pass another vehicle on these gravel roads. What an awesome scenic drive. We are from back east and that would never happen on a scenic drive in Florida. The beautiful ranches and pretty Wyoming Wildflowers were scattered all along this scenic drive east of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Don't you love the name of this road? It was located a few miles north of Story, Wyoming and east of Big Horn, Wyoming.

The Wyoming wildflowers make any scenic drive very special.
