This bumper sticker was spotted on a Suzuki in Key West. It was sending a message. Things are slower in the Keys and the residents do want you to slow down as well.
This was on a T-shirt in Key West. Ya gotta love this. VBG
Another T-shirt in Key West.
Another attempt to get folks to "Chill out" when visiting in Key West.
Some of the T-shirts we see in Key West are just too funny.
What more can I say!
This sign was on a building on Whitehead Street about 4-blocks north of the Southernmost Point in the United States.
This sign was advertising some sort of ride in Key West. I think it was advertising one of those rickshaw operations where someone pedals you on a 3-wheel tricycle.
This sign is over the entrance to Cowboy Bill's Honky Tonk on Dubal Street in Key West. Cowboy Bill's provides the southernmost country music venue complete with good live bands and a good size dance floor. They also have a bull to ride.
We were in Key West just 6-months after Tiger Woods great fall. Of course there were jokes by the hundreds ------ this T-shirt pretty much summed up all the Tiger jokes.
Yea, this is the sign outside Jimmy Buffett's original Margaritaville Cafe on Duval Street in Key West.
Next door to Jimmy Buffett's original Cafey is his equally popular Margaritaville Store. This is quintessential Key West.
Robert's is a famous honky tonk on Broadway Street in Nashville. This sign is over the toilet in the men's room. One can only imagine what has been found in this toilet.
The note about the Bass Player is particularly funny if you have ever visited Robert's....... he is a crusty old guy that toured with Johnny Cash for 12-years. There is not much that old buzzard hasn't seen or done.
Dave Roe is the bass player in Robert's that was mentioned in the sign above. Dave played in Johnny Cash's road band for 12-years. He is one of the famous "Tennessee-Three".
Dave has toured and recorded with Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, Jerry Reed, Chet Atkins, Vince Gill, Kris Kristofferson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joe Shaver, and many more. Dave is a studio musician but still likes playing at Robert's a few days each week. You are looking at one of the best in the business.
Joyce took this picture while in The Stage on Broadway one of the premier honky tonks in the country. If you are in Nashville, stop in and look around the Stage on Broadway.
Joyce and I both loved this sign ......19-mph we saw another one in the same resort that was for 23-mph.
This really isn't a sign, yet it just may be. On our Anniversary we stopped in Dusty's on Panama City Beach for dinner before our night out. After sitting down, at our outside dining table, we noticed writing on the decorated table. After studying the writing we realized it was the name of a song that our friend, the late Billy Pearson, made popular.....Don't get no sand in it. That song was headed for the charts when Billy's life was cut short in a tragic auto accident. Billy was a Nashville Country Music Artist that had returned to his home town of Panama City and was a regular performer at Tootsies Orchid Lounge on Panama City Beach. Ironically, we were headed to Tootsies after dining at Dusty's. Tootsies is not the same without Billy.
This was the name of the band playing at Pineapple Willy's on Panama City Beach. I liked the name.
Beware of Alligator is a sign that is popular in some parts of Florida.
Pineapple Willy's is a popular place on Panama City Beach.
