This is one of my all time favorite pictures. The 5th wheel to the far left was at the central dump station in the Gros Ventre National Park Campground in Teton National Park. As you can see the other RV's are waiting in line for this "fire cracker". VBG

The 5th wheel had a Utah license plate if that makes any difference.

Joyce was in the office paying for a few more days so I decided to see what was going on at the dump station.

The individuals in the 5th wheel were "sanitary-nuts" (my term). They both had on rubber gloves, they had a plastic bucket with a bleach solution in it, they had a spray can of "something" that I suspect was disinfectant.....probably super duty disinfectant. After they dumped their tanks they connected up the water supply and "rinsed" their tanks. That alone took around 15-minutes. When they finished rinsing their tanks they disconnected the slinky. Then they put a cap on BOTH ends of the slinky. I have never seen caps for slinkys before, this was a first for me. But before they put the "capped" slinky in the square holder that doubles as the bumper out came that can of spray disinfectant and they sprayed the entire slinky as they were inserting it into the bumper. I kid you not.

One might think this was the end but nooooooo. The show was far from over. The disinfectant can had to be wiped down and properly stowed. The bucket had to be emptied, wiped out and properly stowed. Then something had to be done with the special towel used to wipe down the bucket and disinfectant spray. I can not remember what they ended up doing with that towel but I do remember it was neatly folded.

The next thing they did was disappear in the 5th wheel and did not come out. Well, they did not come out while we were there. I wanted to stay and watch the show but Joyce would have none of it. I did get to stay around for about 5-minutes after the couple disappeared in the 5'er and they did not appear in that time. I suspect they were taking showers because it certainly does not take 5-minutes to wash your hands. Who knows they may have decided to fix lunch. Stranger things have happened at central dump stations.

At no time did these individuals make eye contact with anyone waiting on them to MOVE. And no they did not ask why I was taking pictures.

I had a real cute reply ready for that question but did not get to use it. VBG

I was going to tell them I was writing an article for an RV publication on what NOT to do at a common dump station, while other RV'ers were waiting to dump, and that they were providing me information for the entire article......from A to Z.

Anyway, enjoy the picture. I enjoyed sharing it with you. VBG
