Entering the Tongue River Canyon on CR-92 out of Dayton, Wyoming

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This picture was taken just after entering the Tongue River Canyon on CR-92 out of Dayton, Wyoming. The drive into the canyon is probably around 5-miles, but it is a truly awesome scenic drive that should be on everyone's bucket list. To get to Tongue River Canyon take CR-92 out of Dayton, Wyoming. It will take you along the north shore of the Tongue River as it weaves its way into the canyon. The Tongue River has cut a vertical slice through millions upon millions of years worth of sedimentary rock mostly limestones, shales and sandstone.
