Suzie was the first one to spot some obsidian. Then we went searching for it and it was abundant in the area. If you are looking for obsidian you can easily find it below Grassy Lake Dam in the parking area at the outfall from Grassy Lake.

We stopped at one of the free campgrounds along Grassy Lake Road in John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway between Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park and took this picture of the Snake River.

Passing on Grassy Lake Road is accomplished SLOWLY. Folks usually find a wide space in the road and pull over and stop in that wide space while the other vehicle passes.
