Granite Creek Recreational area is located on Granite Creek Road . From Hoback Junction take US 189/191 east for 10 miles. Turn left on Granite Creek Road. This is also forest road 30500.

The views of Granite Creek and the Gros Ventre Wilderness are incredible.

Granite Creek flowing through a field of Mule Ears and other wildflowers. The scenic drive offers many beautiful views such as this during the summer months. Granite Creek Road is not maintained during the winter months.

Many recreational vehicles just find an ideal spot along Granite Creek to camp and pull off the road to set up camp. Others prefer to go to Granite Creek Campground six miles up Granite Creek Road which is dirt. Granite Creek Campground offers 52 campsites and spaces are available on first come first serve basis.

Granite Creek was moving fast and furious over these beautiful rocks as it flowed through the Gros Ventre Wilderness.

There was a lot of rain in the Hoback Junction area and Jackson Hole, Wyoming during the spring of 2011 and the grasses and meadows along Granite Creek were lush green throughout the Gros Ventre Wilderness.
