The Yankee Freedom II, is a fast, large state-of-the-art vessel ferrying passengers to Garden Key and Fort Jefferson in Dry Tortugas National Park.

The Yankee Freedom II is a high-speed boat certified to carry 250 passengers; however, to maximize the comfort of each guest, they limit each trip to 100 passengers.

Their captain and friendly crew will take you to one of the most unique and spectacular national parks in the United States: The Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson.

A visit to Garden Key and Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas is one of the top Key West attractions.

This is the really fast catamaran Yankee Freedom II that ferried us to to Fort Jefferson in Dry Tortugas National Park this morning.

While at this dock I took pictures of huge Jewfish also called Goliath grouper from the Yankee Freedom you can see those pilings the boat is tied to in some of those remarkable pictures.

Joyce took this picture from the top of Fort Jefferson looking toward the anchorage where private boats visiting Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas anchor. Since Fort Jefferson and the Dry Tortugas is located 70-miles west of Key West it takes a good size boat to make the trip and stay overnight.

Those boats you see anchored are staying for a few days. They have to bring EVERYTHING they need there are NO provisions in the Dry Tortugas. The nearest "anything" is back in Key West 70-miles east of here.

This is also a better look at the private boats anchored out while visiting Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas.
